With an early kick off in the Championship both Xisco Munoz's and Mark Robin's side needed a win today, with Coventry battling it out for safety at the bottom and Watford fighting for promotion at the top.
The first half saw a sharp looking Coventry team come close with a glancing header from Max Biamou, which was put agonisingly short past the post. Their continued efforts kept Watford looking alive, however the game stayed tied at half time.
As the second half continued, the Hornets looked likely to snatch it in the closing ten minutes, with Deeney's clever looping header being their best chance of the game. The game ended level, meaning Watford still weren't back to winning ways after their 2-1 loss at the weekend.
Coventry proved to be the better side today, this draw moving them up to 16th in the table and moving Watford up to 4th.
